Why does ABS not eliminate the need for a school bus driver to maintain safe following distance and speed for conditions?

Pick an answer

1. Following distance becomes irrelevant on any vehicle equipped with ABS
2. ABS is designed to replace careful speed management entirely, since it slows the bus by itself when a hazard appears
3. ABS helps prevent wheel lockup, but it does not shorten the physical distance needed to stop the vehicle
4. ABS allows a bus to stop instantly regardless of speed or road conditions
